They have heavier bone structure, a long physical type, uniform shoulders and an even top line. These dogs developed a bit differently than German Shepherds from other locations. English Lines German Shepherds have a soft personality and they change in drive. They make extraordinary family companions, especially for first time owners, but they also function well as service dogs, treatment dogs and guide dogs. They're so uniform in appearance that judges, mostly, are only in a position to separate them by focusing on minor faults in construction. Because gait and impressive, ground-covering, side-movement is such a serious factor in judging, breeders of German Shepherd Dogs focus on breeding dogs with dynamic, animated, energized temperaments. Because of this a ‘test of courage’ was introduced a few years back at the yearly German championship – ‘Sieger’ Show. The controlling body for German shepherd Dogs in Germany, the S.V, has been aware for a long period of time there had been requirement to improve in personality.
